A small, dainty perennial growing up to 6 in high.  Pairs of star-like white flowers open in late Spring in moist cool woods.  Long, tapering leaves are arranged in a whorl around the stem.

Common in moist woods and bogs.

Present in most of the state, besides a few counties in the south-western corner and in the south-central part.
