Hi , I recently found it growing on my wooded  creek bottom floodplain. on very edge of creek. I have never seen this plant before . Very pretty ! I also have some black willow growing in close proximity to it.  I live along the little cliques creek in SE Pa , near Marietta Pa.

Posted By Admin: @Paul J Rineer Thanks for sharing that - that is such a lovely find along your creek. It really does have a delicate beauty when it’s in bloom, and it often shows up exactly in the kind of spot you described - wet, silty edges of streams and floodplains. It’s actually not native to Pennsylvania, but it has naturalized in many wet areas across the state, so it’s not unusual to see it pop up along creeks like the Little Chiques. Black willow nearby makes sense too, since they both like those periodically flooded soils. It sounds like you have a nice bit of wetland diversity there!
