-Northwestern Lehigh County.  This plant appeared for the first time along the perimeter of my yard in the beginning of August, 2025, after fill dirt was brought in for a building project. It's a very pretty plant that I've never seen before and was surprised to discover it.

Posted By Admin: @Jill B Keep in mind that this plant even though pretty, is known for prolific self-seeding. Once established, it can spread far beyond its original planting site, potentially crowding out more delicate or native species in your garden. You may want to keep it in a container.

This plant appeared a few years ago in my flower bed in Bucks County. Have never seen one prior to this.  I have let it remain but am careful to cut off seed pods before they open and disperse to the ground . I still have to pull several out in the spring so it doesn't take over the bed. It is very pretty when the flowers bloom so the maintenance is worth it to me
