Verbena
Verbena vervain
Verbena species are annual or perennial herbs with opposite leaves and flowering spikes that terminate the stem and upper branches. The flowers have a tubular corolla that is slightly two‑lipped, with four stamens arranged in two unequal pairs, all shorter than the corolla tube. The style is two‑lobed at the tip. The calyx is tubular and unequally five‑lobed. The fruit is a dry schizocarp that divides into four nutlets.
